Let Us Help Plan Your Trip! ️

Coming to Harbour Island in the Bahamas is like time traveling. Take a walk down any street in Dunmore Town and you’re sure to be greeted by roosters and warm smiles from the locals. It’ll take a day or two to get used to, but you’ll notice that everyone extends a kind wave of the hand or a soft “good morning” or “good afternoon”. It’s just that kind of place.

When it comes to offering fun activities on the island, Conch & Coconut is your vetted one stop shop. In this article, we’ll cover boat excursions, horseback riding, and beach activities (like bonfires) that we can help arrange for you. Whether you’re an active thrill-seeker or more into staying horizontal under a beach umbrella, there’s something for everyone in Harbour Island. We like to remind our guests that they leave behind a fast paced life to come unwind here. So make sure to set aside time to become familiar with the slower pace and friendly culture that makes the island so unique. You’ll understand what we mean the second you get here, trust us!

Boat Excursions

Experiencing the turquoise waters of Harbour Island by boat is by far one of the most breathtaking moments you’ll have on the island. We offer two types of boating excursions: fishing excursions and adventure excursions. Both options are captained by vettedc captains and can be enjoyed as a full-day or half-day experience.

For the adventure excursions, you’ll be able to curate an itinerary from a list of popular destinations including: Tay Bay Beach, Sapphire Blue Hole, swimming with pigs, and sea turtle sightings. Full day excursions start at 9:45 am and end at 6:00 pm and can accommodate up to fifteen people. The times for half-day excursions vary, but expect to get four solid hours out on the water!

Our fishing excursions give you a taste of the robust sports fishing offerings the island has to offer. From bonefishing in the flats between Eleuthera and Harbour Island to deep sea fishing for marlin, dolphin, wahoo, and sailfish, our vetted captains know all the best spots and assure you have a safe and enjoyable voyage.

Horseback Riding

Calling all equestrian lovers! If horseback riding along 3 miles of powdery pink sands sounds like your kind of activity then you’re in luck. Conch & Coconut can help arrange for horseback rides for adult and children riders. This is a popular activity during peak months (December-April) so you’ll want to book this in advance. If you’re staying on the beach we can arrange to have the horses meet you and drop you off at your hotel/vacation rental.

Beach Activities

If you’re looking for beach chair and umbrella rentals you can count on Conch & Coconut to reserve you the best spot on the beach. The fun doesn’t stop when the sun goes down, ask us about organizing a beach bonfire complete with smores and other goodies to be enjoyed al fresco! We can even help prepare a beach picnic.

Whether you prefer beachside cocktails or deep sea excursions, Conch & Coconuts team of concierge experts is here to help you plan all of your fun activities during your visit to Harbour Island. As always, keep in mind that December-April is the high season so you’ll want to reserve your activities ahead of time. Lastly, don’t forget to leave some time to enjoy the slow-island life and interact with the friendly locals. We guarantee it’s one of the things you’ll miss the most after leaving!
